Many people suffer from impotence nowadays. If you are one of them you should know that consulting a specialist is the best option for you in this domain. Impotence is curable but in order to cure it you should know exactly what the causes of its appearance are. There are 6 main types of impotence.

These types are listed below in order for you to be informed of the factors that can cause impotence:

a) The venogenic impotence occurs when veins of the penis prevent the erection because of blood leakage. Usually, these veins do not allow blood at all to flow out of the penis. 50 % of the impotence cases are due to this type of impotence. Unfortunately, there are many cases of men who suffer from venogenic impotence even from birth.

b) Diabetic impotence is a very common form of impotence that occurs at diabetic persons. Half of the men who suffer from diabetes suffer from impotence too. Men who suffer from diabetic impotence should see a doctor every month in order to benefit from the best treatment for them.

c) The neurogenic impotence is the third type of impotence. The nerves of the penis are very delicate. Many times, men who suffered injuries of the pelvic area or of the back suffer from this type of impotence too.

d) The psychogenic impotence is caused by a psychological factor. Among these factors we have stress or anxiety. Unfortunately, these days, more and more people suffer from this type of impotence as the level of stress in our lives increases.

e) The arteriogenic impotence is similar to the venogenic one. When arteries do not bring enough blood to the penile area, men are not able to have an erection. This type of impotence is usually found at elderly persons or persons who have problems with high blood pressure or diabetes. Also, bicycle riders may encounter this problem too as the artery region is blocked by sustained friction in the area.

f) The hormonal impotence is not a much encountered type as it occurs in less than 5 % of the total cases of impotence in the world. This type of impotence is due to the imbalance of estrogen and testosterone in the blood. Usually, the erection is not so much affected as the libido in this case.

In summary, there are 6 main types of impotence. These types have psychological, physiological or lifestyle factors that can lead to male impotence.
